Slaying Giants
1 NOVEMBER 2023 - MIDNIGHT PRAYER - PASTOR BATSI MUSIIWA
THEME: GIANT SLAYERS – THE LION AND THE BEAR 🙌🏽🙌🏽
1. Pray and declare, I refuse to be discouraged because of the giants, I am bringing them down because greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world; I am here to open doors and gates; I am obtaining victories for generations to come; I will be the one that many will look up to; let it be said of me, there was a giant slayer; I am arising to slay barrenness and poverty in my bloodline; I am here to take territories and open doors in the name of Jesus.
🔹 Welcome to the eleventh month; we are excited and expectant; when you are expectant, there are certain things you do; we cannot do business as usual; it is a season and a time to pray earnestly especially if you are believing God for the targeted areas of fruitfulness.
🔹 I believe there are people who must conceive in their marriages and in every area of your lives; fruitfulness is your covenant right; Jesus says you did not choose me, but I chose you that you might bear fruit and that your fruit should last.
John 15:16 - You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.
🔹 The first declaration of blessing that God spoke on mankind was to do with fruitfulness; the Bible says and God blessed them and He said be fruitful and multiply, it’s your covenant right to be fruitful and bear children.
Genesis 1:28 - Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
🔹 God declares that there shall be no one barren amongst my people and none of them shall miscarry; barrenness is not your portion, spiritual or financial barrenness is not your portion; we stand on the word of God to expect those things to happen in our lives.
Exodus 23:26 - No one shall suffer miscarriage or be barren in your land; I will fulfill the number of your days.
🔹 The second area that we are going to be targeting is the area of marriages; you have experienced relationship failures and rejection; we are going to be standing and pressing in; marriage was God’s idea, it was not something that we asked God; it is His plan; we did not force God into marriages.
🔹 The Bible says and God saw that it was not good for man to be alone; the desire to marry was deposited into you by God Himself, there is nothing to be ashamed of; it is His purpose for your life.
Genesis 2:18 - And the LORD God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.”
🔹 This month of November they don’t allow marriages and any other covenant activities, but we are pressing in and believing God; we are taking spiritual possession of your marriage in this month; you shall experience breakthroughs and open doors in these areas.
🔹 I am encouraging you to carry burdens for others; pray passionately for someone desiring breakthroughs in these areas; carry them through and pray for them; pray for your brothers and sisters; we are going to be breaking the siege of the enemy in the name of Jesus.
Galatians 6:2 - Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
🔹 This is how we are going to be praying, for those who are single and believing for marriages, never miss the Friday night into Saturday morning prayer; we are dedicating it to praying for marriages; we will push through and extend the sessions if need be; we are prepared to push through.
🔹 Every Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, we will be targeting fruitfulness through out the month of November.
🔹 This week we already declared that the giants must fall; we are going to be slaying the giants of antimarriage and barrenness in the name of Jesus; we are equipped and anointed to confront the giants and bring them down.
🔹 David raised his hand and said let no one’s heart fail because of this giant; I will go and fight him; that is our declaration in our families, let no one be discouraged about this giant, I am rising up to confront giants in my family; I am arising like Deborah in my generation to break the hold of the enemy.
1 Samuel 17:32 - Then David said to Saul, “Let no man’s heart fail because of him; your servant will go and fight with this Philistine.”
Judges 5:7 - Village life ceased, it ceased in Israel, Until I, Deborah, arose, Arose a mother in Israel.
🔹 Like Esther, I am arising, I will go and stand before the king, if I perish I perish but I am rising up to slay the giants; like David I am rising as a giant slayer; sister, brother do not be discouraged because of the giant, we are rising to slay them
🔹 Do not be discouraged, do not be depressed because of the giants, we are arising to slay giants; we are overcoming him who is in the world because greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world; we are bringing down giants in the name of Jesus.
1 John 4:4 - You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
🔹 Pray and declare, I refuse to be discouraged because of the giants, I am bringing them down because greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world; I am here to open doors and gates; I am obtaining victories for generations to come; I will be the one that many will look up to; let it be said of me, there was a giant slayer; I am arising to slay barrenness and poverty in my bloodline; I am here to take territories and open doors in the name of Jesus.

2. It is time to go back and pick up those testimonies; the same God who delivered me before, He will deliver me from the giants; by my God I will run over a troop of army; declare and proclaim, by the same God who has been with me since I was young, the same God who did not allow your enemies to run over you is the same God who will deliver you from the giant; God is saying remember what I have done before so that you can face this giant; by the same God who healed me before, who kept me through COVID, I declare I will bring down this giant in the name of Jesus.
🔹 We will bring the giants down in the name of Jesus; giants of barrenness must be defeated; giants of failed relationships must be defeated; every giant that has confronted you must come down; we are called and anointed by God to bring those giants down in the name of Jesus.
🔹 Let no one’s heart fail because of the giants; nobody must enter into panic mode because there are things that have not yet happened, we will bring the giants down in the name of Jesus; turn with me to 1st Samuel 17.33
1 Samuel 17:33 - And Saul said to David, “You are not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him; for you are a youth, and he a man of war from his youth.”
🔹 Saul is afraid and says to David you cannot fight this giant because you are a youth, you could be confronted with giants that have always been there in your bloodline; if you start talking about bringing them down, people around you will say many have tried in our family and failed.
🔹 This is what Saul was saying, you are not able to go against this giant, but David responded; I believe someone is responding today:
1 Samuel 17:34-37 - But David said to Saul, “Your servant used to keep his father’s sheep, and when a lion or a bear came and took a lamb out of the flock, I went out after it and struck it, and delivered the lamb from its mouth; and when it arose against me, I caught it by its beard, and struck and killed it. Your servant has killed both lion and bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, seeing he has defied the armies of the living God.” Moreover David said, “The Lord, who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.”
🔹 David said you don’t know who I am; I am not just coming from nowhere; I have been through something; there are victories that I have obtained before; my faith has been built up to know the same God who has been good to me in other areas is the same God who must come through for me as I confront the giants of poverty and sickness.
🔹 There are things that happen in our lives and we get discouraged because we see God in certain areas and struggle in others; the reason you experience victories in some areas is that you can have reference points as you pray and believe for breakthrough in other areas.
🔹 The Bible says God did not take the Israelites by way of the Philistines, rather He took them by the way of the Red Sea so that when they see the power of God, they would have testimonies and a record of what God can do; God knew that there is a giant you have to bring down, but you must have a testimony first.
Exodus 13:17-18 - Then it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God did not lead them by way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, “Lest perhaps the people change their minds when they see war, and return to Egypt.” So God led the people around by way of the wilderness of the Red Sea. And the children of Israel went up in orderly ranks out of the land of Egypt.
🔹 Before God brought David to the giant, he brought him to the lion and the bear; David had a reference point; he said I have seen God working wonders in my life; He delivered me from the paw of the lion and the bear, he will deliver me from this Philistine.
🔹 It is time to go back and pick up those testimonies; the same God who delivered me before, He will deliver me from the giants; by my God I will run over a troop of army; declare and proclaim, by the same God who has been with me since I was young, the same God who did not allow your enemies to run over you is the same God who will deliver you from the giant; God is saying remember what I have done before so that you can face this giant; by the same God who healed me before, who kept me through COVID, I declare I will bring down this giant in the name of Jesus.
2 Samuel 22:30 - For by You I can run against a troop; By my God I can leap over a wall.
🔹 By my God who saw me through the season of dryness, I am prevailing over this giant in Jesus’ name.

3. You might have broken down but God kept you so that when you come to this point you will have a reference point and say by my God I will break through this too; proclaim and declare by my God, I will prevail over this giant in Jesus’ name.
🔹 By the same God who has delivered me from the bear and the lion, I will bring down the giant; by the same God who brought you into that marriage, I am going to conceive in the name of Jesus; barrenness and miscarriage must come down.
🔹 By the same God who opened those doors, you shall get married; the same God who changed your address, He will also bring you victory in this situation.
🔹 David had private victories that the soldiers around Saul did not have; if you have seen God before in any way in any form, it is time to bring out your CV; the same God who chose you, who opened a door for you, He will cause you to slay this giant too.
🔹 You might have broken down but God kept you so that when you come to this point you will have a reference point and say by my God I will break through this too; proclaim and declare by my God, I will prevail over this giant in Jesus’ name.

4. CLOSING REMARKS
🔹 The same God who has done it before, He will do it again; the same God who gave you marriage and children; the same God will break poverty in your life; make reference to what He has done.
🔹 By the same God who caused you to start that ministry, the same God who gave you that business idea, He will give you the power to create wealth.
🔹 You are breaking barriers, you are defeating giants; remember the Lord who brought you through; remember the Lord who was with you when you were facing the bear and the lion, He will deliver you from the giant.
🔹 You will conceive in the name of Jesus; we decree uncommon favour, uncommon grace in the name of Jesus; the same God who delivered you from sickness, He will deliver you from this too; you have a story to tell, the Lord has taken you through the fire but you did not burn; the same God will deliver you from this tide too.
🔹 You are rewriting the narrative; the giants must fall, you are a giant slayer; you have a reference point; let no one look down upon you; they may see you as ordinary, but they don’t know where you have been.
🔹 I don’t believe God took you to a foreign land for you to struggle; I believe God will bring down those giants; God who brought you this far will bring down the giant too.
🔹 Something has to shift in this month; we have to see tangible results, something has to shift in your life.
ALTAR CALL
🔹 Before I close this broadcast maybe you are here and you do not have a relationship with God; David knew he was in covenant with God that is why he could stand against the uncircumcised Philistine; when you have not given your life to Jesus, you are excluded; but when you give your life to God you can boldly declare that you are his child; maybe you are a covenant breaker, you have backslidden but as we were praying you have been stirred up to come back to God; if that is you, pray with me now; do not procrastinate, there is a lot God wants to do in your life; say:
Lord Jesus, thank you for choosing me, I believe in my heart that Jesus Christ, you are the Son of God, you died on the cross for my sins, you were raised from the dead for my forgiveness; I repent of all my sins and I ask you Jesus come into my heart, be my Lord, be my Saviour, I surrender my life to you; Father in heaven I thank you for receiving me and making me your child, I believe from today I am born again, my name is written in the book of life in Jesus’ name I pray, AMEN.
