Reflecting & Thanking God
“Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”
Romans 8:37 NKJV
There are times when God finally does it for you.
Reflect on the day/ time when God did it for you. Reflecting leads to gratitude. Have you ever prayed for something for a long time and it finally happened? How did you feel?
We should reflect often
“For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
Hebrews 4:12 NKJV
We should never forget God:
“And you shall remember that the Lord your God led you all the way these forty years in the wilderness, to humble you and test you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not.”
Deuteronomy 8:2 NKJV
Deuteronomy 8:11-17 NKJV
Don't forget to Thank God
Lets see how people in the Bible thanked God when God did something great for them
Mary:
Luke 1 vs 46-55
“And Mary said: “My soul magnifies the Lord, And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior. For He has regarded the lowly state of His maidservant; For behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed. For He who is mighty has done great things for me, And holy is His name. And His mercy is on those who fear Him From generation to generation. He has shown strength with His arm; He has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. He has put down the mighty from their thrones, And exalted the lowly. He has filled the hungry with good things, And the rich He has sent away empty. He has helped His servant Israel, In remembrance of His mercy, As He spoke to our fathers, To Abraham and to his seed forever.””
Luke 1:46-55 NKJV
It expresses Mary's deep humility and gratitude for God's mercy and grace. Mary recognizes that she is a lowly servant of God, yet she has been chosen to be the mother of the Messiah. She is overwhelmed with gratitude for God's favor and sings of His greatness and power.
It is a model of Christian prayer and praise. Mary's song is a beautiful example of how to praise God. She focuses on God's greatness, His mercy, and His justice. Her song is a reminder that we should always be thankful for God's blessings and should always give Him the glory.
Exodus
The Israelites were in the middle of trouble
“And when Pharaoh drew near, the children of Israel lifted their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians marched after them. So they were very afraid, and the children of Israel cried out to the Lord.”
Exodus 14:10 NKJV
God then did a miracle for them
“So the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea on the dry ground, and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.”
Exodus 14:22 NKJV
How Moses and the Children of Israel thanked God

Miriams song as well - Exodus 15 vs 20-21
“Then Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took the timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances. 21. And Miriam answered them: “Sing to the Lord, For He has triumphed gloriously! The horse and its rider He has thrown into the sea!””
