Prayer Based on 2 Kings 2:19–22

“[19] Then the men of the city said to Elisha, “Please notice, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord sees; but the water is bad, and the ground barren.” [20] And he said, “Bring me a new bowl, and put salt in it.” So they brought it to him. [21] Then he went out to the source of the water, and cast in the salt there, and said, “Thus says the Lord: ‘I have healed this water; from it there shall be no more death or barrenness.’ ” [22] So the water remains healed to this day, according to the word of Elisha which he spoke.’

Lord,

Thank You for this reminder that true healing begins at the source. Today, I bring before You every area in my life that looks “pleasant” on the outside but is barren or broken underneath. Just as Elisha threw salt into the spring, Lord, release Your healing power into the roots of my heart, mind, family, health, and calling.

Heal the water within me, Lord. Let there be no more death in my dreams, no more barrenness in my purpose, no more stagnation in my spirit. Speak a word that transforms my inner source and causes fruitfulness to overflow in every area of my life.

I declare:

• The source is being healed.

• There shall be no more death.

• There shall be no more barrenness.

• My waters are sweet. My ground is fruitful.

• According to the word of the Lord, it is done.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
