1. Satan knows what we want or desire and he will use our genuine needs to sell his illegitimate ways. It is not every answer to your prayers that is divine. In our time of greatest need it can be difficult to check in with God. Hence fasting shouldn’t be used to request God to do what we want but rather to ask God his will concerning the matter.

The children of Israel demanded a King after having left Egypt. 1 Samuel 8 - Yes God granted them their request, however we see that this did not last. This was not Gods design. This was not Gods original will.

One of the most difficult thing for the modern day Christian is to ask for Gods will concerning ALL issues. And often some responses may not make humanly sense but spiritually they do.

And the devil knows that - he knows our ears are itchy to hear (2 Timothy 4 v3) he knows we want fashionable teachings/ lifestyles etc and there many of us are falling into temptation.

Ask God today about the matters of your heart, about the things you are desiring, about that thing you want or need desperately.

Check your scriptures - what does the word say about your health, your finances, relationships ?

Ask God to reveal the deep and secret things.

O Lord, open up my spiritual understanding
