Are you ready for The God of Breakthroughs?

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

“The LORD did it!” David exclaimed. “He burst through my enemies like a raging flood!” So he named that place Baal-perazim (which means “the Lord who bursts through”).

2 Samuel 5:20, NLT

And David came to Baalperazim, and David smote them there, and said, The Lord hath broken forth upon mine enemies before me, as the breach of waters. Therefore he called the name of that place Baalperazim.

2 Samuel 5:20, KJV

TODAY'S WORD

When David was about to step into the fullness of his destiny as the anointed king over all Judah and Israel, he found himself at the Valley of Rephaim, which means “giants.” Many years earlier, he had killed Goliath in that valley. But now he not only faced one Goliath, he faced a valley of Goliaths. The principle is that the closer you are to your destiny, the greater the opposition. When you overcome one challenge, don’t be surprised if you face a bigger challenge. That means you’re getting closer to your destiny.

David and his men went out full of faith and defeated the Philistines, then he renamed the valley of giants Baal-perazim, which means “the God of the breakthrough.” When you face the valley of debt, struggle, and lack, rename it the valley of abundance, promotion, and increase. Rename the valley of sickness the valley of health and wholeness. God will turn every valley you face into a valley of victory.

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

“FATHER, thank You that a valley of giants and challenges are no match for You. Thank You that You are the God who bursts through like a raging flood and brings me to my destiny. I believe that the forces for me are greater than any force that is against me. In JESUS’ Name, Amen
